Radiator Bleed Hose - small-bore hose in the cooling system of the 4.2 V8 Supercharged petrol engine.
It vents air trapped at the top of the radiator, allowing the cooling system to purge itself as it is filled and as the coolant expands and contracts in normal use. Air left in the circuit reduces coolant flow through the radiator and can cause erratic temperature behaviour.
The bleed line is small in diameter and its connections perish in the same way as the main hoses; check it whenever the cooling system is refilled or bled.
