Dump Valve for the air cleaner housing. The flexible one-way valve fits at the lowest point of the air filter housing and lets accumulated dust and water drain out under the pulsing of the intake air, while sealing closed during normal running so that no unfiltered air is drawn in past it.

A hardened, torn or missing valve either fails to clear debris - allowing it to collect against the filter element - or lets unmetered air into the intake. Inspect it when servicing the air cleaner and renew if perished.
