SU Carburettor Intake Gasket seals the joint between an SU carburettor and the inlet manifold on the 3.5L V8 twin-carburettor petrol engine. It maintains a gas-tight flange seal so the carburettor delivers a correct, leak-free air/fuel charge into the manifold; an air leak at this joint weakens the mixture and upsets the idle.

The gasket is of asbestos-free construction. Two carburettors are fitted to the engine, so the gaskets are renewed as a pair whenever a carburettor is removed.
