PML000010 - Intercooler – 3.0 Diesel

Intercooler for the turbocharged 3.0L diesel (M57 D30) charge-air system. It sits between the turbocharger outlet and the inlet manifold and cools the compressed intake air after the turbo has heated it. The denser, cooler charge improves combustion efficiency and helps hold intake temperatures within limits.

The core is a finned heat exchanger with end tanks that connect into the boost pipework. A blocked, leaking or damaged core reduces boost pressure and charge cooling, costing power and raising exhaust temperatures. Inspect the core and its hose connections for leaks and impact damage.
