Description:
Belt Tensioner Pulley for the upper primary position of the auxiliary drive belt on AJ-V8 engines, covering the 4.4L V8 and 4.2L V8 Supercharged variants.
This pulley seats on the tensioner arm and maintains correct belt alignment and tension in the auxiliary drive circuit. The pulley bearing is subject to wear and should be inspected at belt change intervals. A worn bearing will produce a whining noise from the front of the engine and, if left unaddressed, can result in belt misalignment or loss of drive to ancillary components.
