Auxiliary Drive Belt - polyvee (multi-rib) belt for the ancillary drive on the 2.5L KV6 V6 petrol engine, in the layout without air conditioning.

Driven from the crankshaft pulley, the belt transmits drive to the alternator through the ancillary drive circuit. Because no air conditioning compressor sits in this layout, the belt follows the shorter routing used on non-air-conditioned vehicles and is not interchangeable with the longer belt used where a compressor is fitted.

A polyvee belt should be renewed rather than refitted once it has been removed. Inspect for rib cracking, glazing and edge fraying at each service, and check the tensioner and idler bearings while the belt is off.
