Auxiliary Drive Belt - polyvee (multi-rib) belt for the ancillary drive on the 2.5L KV6 V6 petrol engine in air-conditioned form.

Driven from the crankshaft pulley, the belt transmits drive to the alternator and the power steering pump. This is the longer routing used where an air conditioning compressor forms part of the ancillary drive layout; it is not interchangeable with the belt fitted to vehicles without air conditioning.

A polyvee belt should be renewed rather than refitted once it has been removed. Inspect for rib cracking, glazing and edge fraying at each service, and check the tensioner and idler bearings while the belt is off.
