Washer and Screw - a screw supplied together with its washer as a single fastener assembly.

This is a multi-purpose fixing used at a range of body and underbonnet attachment points, including the radiator grille and front bumper fixings, the radiator and coolant overflow container mounting, windscreen washer components and the parking brake cable bracket.

The washer spreads the clamping load of the screw head over a wider area of the plastic moulding or thin sheet panel being retained, so the head cannot pull through the fixing hole.
