Panhard Rod Bush - Front is a yellow polyurethane bush for the front panhard rod.

The panhard rod is the transverse link that locates the front axle laterally relative to the chassis, holding the axle centred under the vehicle as the suspension moves. One bush is fitted at each end of the rod, so two are used per vehicle. Worn bushes allow the axle to move sideways under load, which is felt as wandering and as a delayed, imprecise response to steering input.

Polyurethane is more resistant to deformation under load and to degradation from oil and ozone than the original rubber, so axle location stays more precise as the bush ages.
