Suspension Arm Bush is the rear hydraulically damped bush (hydrabush) pressed into the front lower suspension arm.

The fluid-filled hydrabush isolates road, braking and cornering loads at the rear mounting of the lower control arm, controlling arm deflection to hold front wheel alignment and maintain ride refinement. It is normally replaced in pairs, one per side.

Frequently asked questions

What does the front lower suspension arm bush do?
The front lower suspension arm bush locates the lower suspension arm to the subframe and absorbs road and cornering loads. On the Discovery 3, Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport L320 it's a hydraulically damped hydrabush that controls arm movement and cushions vibration. Worn bushes cause knocking and vague steering.
How many of these bushes are needed per vehicle?
Two are needed per vehicle, one per side, and Land Rover specifies replacing them in pairs. Fitting only one leaves an old bush opposite with different compliance, so the axle handles unevenly. This applies to the Discovery 3, Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport L320.
What are the signs this bush needs replacing?
Signs include knocking or clunking over bumps, vague or wandering steering, and uneven front tyre wear. The hydrabush design can split or leak its fluid, which typically shows as movement in the arm and reduced damping. Failed bushes usually get worse under braking and cornering.
How do I confirm this fits my vehicle?
This bush fits the Discovery 3 (2005-2009), Discovery 4 (2010-2016) and Range Rover Sport L320 (2005-2013). Discovery 3 fits from VIN 9A000001, Discovery 4 from VIN AA000001, and the Range Rover Sport 2010-2013 from VIN (V)DA814632. Check your VIN to confirm.
