Rear Right-Hand Ride Height Sensor within the air suspension and headlamp levelling systems.

This rotary position sensor mounts to the right-hand rear suspension arm and monitors suspension travel by tracking the relative arm position. The signal is fed to the Electronic Air Suspension (EAS) ECU to maintain correct ride height, and simultaneously to the automatic headlamp levelling control to adjust the Xenon beam angle in response to changes in vehicle loading. Both functions depend on an accurate, calibrated signal from this sensor.

Applied to vehicles fitted with Xenon headlamps, where the rear ride height sensors serve a dual role in suspension and lighting control.

Frequently asked questions

What does the rear right-hand ride height sensor do on a Range Rover L322?
The rear RH ride height sensor is a rotary position sensor on the right-hand rear suspension arm of the Range Rover L322 (2002-2012). It reports suspension travel to the air suspension (EAS) ECU to hold ride height, and to the automatic headlamp levelling system to set Xenon beam angle.
Where is this sensor fitted and which corner does it cover?
This sensor mounts to the right-hand rear suspension arm of the Range Rover L322. It's the rear RH unit of the ride height sensor set, so the front sensors and the left rear are separate parts. Confirm you're ordering for the correct corner.
What are the signs this ride height sensor is failing?
A failing rear RH ride height sensor on the L322 typically triggers suspension fault warnings, incorrect or uneven ride height, and erratic Xenon headlamp levelling. Because the EAS ECU depends on an accurate signal, a faulty sensor can drop the air suspension into a fault mode.
Does this fit any Range Rover L322?
This fits the Range Rover L322 (2002-2012) equipped with Xenon headlamps, where the rear ride height sensors serve both suspension and headlamp levelling. On non-Xenon cars the sensor application can differ, so check your vehicle's specification before ordering.
