Genuine Part
Genuine: Original manufacturer part. This product is the original part designed and produced by the vehicle manufacturer.
Intercooler Hose for the 200 TDi 2.5L turbo-diesel charge-air system (non-catalyst configuration).

The hose carries pressurised charge air between the turbocharger and the intercooler, where the compressed intake air is cooled before reaching the inlet manifold. It is shaped to suit the routing of the non-catalyst installation and must seal against boost pressure while resisting the heat of the charge air.

A split or perished hose causes a boost leak, with loss of power and black smoke under acceleration.

Frequently asked questions

What does this intercooler hose do on the 200 TDi?
This intercooler hose carries pressurised charge air between the turbocharger and intercooler on the 200 TDi 2.5L turbo-diesel, where the compressed intake air is cooled before the inlet manifold. It's shaped for the non-catalyst installation and seals against boost while resisting charge-air heat. It's fitted to the Land Rover Defender 200 TDi.
Does this hose fit catalyst 200 TDi engines?
This hose is shaped for the non-catalyst 200 TDi installation, so its routing suits that layout. Catalyst-equipped engines can run different charge-air pipework. Confirm your 200 TDi Defender is the non-cat variant before ordering, since the hose is matched to that configuration.
What happens if the intercooler hose splits?
A split or perished intercooler hose causes a boost leak on the 200 TDi, with loss of power and black smoke under acceleration as charge air escapes before the manifold. Perished hoses are common with age and heat, so inspect for cracks at the bends and clamp areas.
