Lighting and Indicator Switch, the column-mounted stalk switch in the steering column switchgear that controls the exterior lighting and signalling circuit.

This master switch operates the side and headlamps, the direction indicators and the headlamp dip/main-beam changeover from a single column stalk, feeding the relevant lighting and flasher circuits. It is replaced where the stalk has gone intermittent, lost a detent or no longer latches between positions.
