Front Brake Disc - vented, cross-drilled and grooved - the rotating friction element of the front disc brake assembly.
The disc provides the surface the front caliper pads clamp against, converting the vehicle's kinetic energy into heat under braking. Internal vanes between the two friction faces draw air radially through the disc to carry that heat away. The cross-drilled holes and machined grooves sweep water, brake dust and pad outgassing off the pad contact face, holding the friction coefficient more consistent and reducing fade under repeated or sustained heavy braking.
Supplied singly. Discs are replaced in axle sets, two per axle, and are best bedded in against a matching performance-compound pad.
