Frequently asked questions

What is the SE105401 shroud screw used for?
The SE105401 is an M5 x 40 shroud screw used to secure the steering column shroud on the Land Rover Defender. The longer 40mm shank draws the moulded shroud halves together and also serves as a fixing for towing electrics and the tow drop plate.
Which vehicles does the SE105401 shroud screw fit?
The SE105401 fits the Land Rover Defender from 1987 to 2016, including the 2007-2016 Puma. It's also listed as the gearshift selector lever fixing on the Jaguar XJS. Check the length and head drive against your original before fitting.
How many shroud screws are needed for the steering column shroud?
The steering column shroud typically uses more than one screw, so count the fixings on your original before ordering. This M5 x 40 screw is supplied singly and is the longer fixing used where the shroud halves and their brackets need drawing together.
