Brake Pad Set - Front - friction pads for the front disc brake caliper assembly.
The pads sit in the caliper carrier either side of the brake disc and are clamped against the disc faces by the caliper pistons, converting the vehicle's momentum into heat under braking.
Front pads should be renewed as a complete axle set so braking effort stays balanced side to side. Check disc thickness, scoring and run-out at the same time, and confirm the caliper slide pins move freely and the piston seals are intact before reassembly.
