Brake Caliper - front, left-hand side, for the solid (non-vented) front disc arrangement.

The caliper carries the brake pads and the hydraulic pistons. Under braking the pistons clamp the pads against the front disc to generate stopping force at the wheel. This is the left-hand front unit and mounts to the front hub carrier.
