Heated Lambda Sensor - exhaust gas oxygen sensor serving the closed-loop fuel and emissions control circuit.

The sensor compares the oxygen content of the exhaust gas against ambient air and signals the result to the engine management system, which uses it to trim fuelling towards the target air/fuel ratio. Its integral heater brings the element to operating temperature without waiting for exhaust heat, so closed-loop fuelling is reached early in the warm-up.

For the 3.0L supercharged V6 and 5.0L supercharged V8 petrol engines.
Fitment Notes JAGUAR XF (X260) 2016+ — 3.0L V6 supercharged petrol. Heated oxygen sensor. VIN from GCY00001
JAGUAR F-TYPE (X152) 2014+ — 3.0L V6 & 5.0L V8 supercharged petrol. Heated oxygen sensor. AWD from 19MY, VIN from K53743

Frequently asked questions

What is this heated lambda sensor used for?
The heated lambda sensor measures oxygen content in the exhaust gas against ambient air and signals the result to the engine management system, which trims fuelling toward the target air/fuel ratio, on the Jaguar 3.0L supercharged V6 and 5.0L supercharged V8 petrol. Its heater reaches temperature without waiting for exhaust heat.
What are the signs of a failed lambda sensor?
A failing lambda sensor typically shows as fuel-trim or lambda fault codes, a lit engine management lamp and higher fuel consumption on the Jaguar XF and F-TYPE supercharged petrol. Poor closed-loop control during warm-up can also point to the heater circuit.
Which Jaguars does this lambda sensor fit?
This Bosch lambda sensor fits the Jaguar XF (X260) 2016 on with the 3.0L supercharged V6 petrol (VIN from GCY00001) and the F-TYPE (X152) 2014 on with 3.0L V6 and 5.0L V8 supercharged petrol. Confirm your engine and VIN before ordering.
