Aluminium Performance Intercooler - charge-air cooler for the Td5 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo diesel induction system, installed between the turbocharger outlet and the inlet manifold in place of the original unit.

The intercooler lowers the temperature of the compressed charge air leaving the turbocharger before it reaches the engine, raising charge density and limiting inlet temperatures. This matters most where turbocharger output has been raised, since higher boost brings higher charge-air temperatures.

Core selection and fin density are specified for the application. The end tanks are purpose-designed, laser cut and welded using flared tubes so that airflow is distributed across the full width of the core.

This version carries an integrated transmission oil cooler section within the same assembly, replacing the original combined intercooler and transmission oil cooler. It is a direct replacement using the original mounting points and hose connections.
