Silicone Intercooler Hose Kit is a set of reinforced silicone hoses for the charge-air (intercooler) circuit of the 200 TDi turbo diesel engine, finished in blue.

The hoses carry pressurised boost air between the turbocharger, intercooler and intake, replacing the original rubber hoses. Silicone construction withstands heat and boost pressure better than standard rubber and resists perishing.

Supplied as a kit to replace the intercooler hoses.

Frequently asked questions

What is the TF720 silicone intercooler hose kit used for?
The TF720 is a set of reinforced silicone hoses for the charge-air circuit on the 200TDi turbo diesel engine. It carries pressurised boost air between the turbocharger, intercooler and inlet, replacing the original rubber hoses. Silicone handles boost pressure and under-bonnet heat better than rubber.
Why do the original intercooler hoses fail on a 200TDi?
Original intercooler hoses fail on the 200TDi because constant boost pressure and under-bonnet heat make the rubber harden, perish and split. A split hose typically causes boost loss, black smoke and reduced power. The reinforced silicone TF720 hoses resist heat and pressure, so they last longer.
Can the TF720 hose kit be fitted at home?
Yes, the TF720 hoses can typically be fitted at home with basic hand tools. The job usually means loosening the hose clamps, removing the old rubber hoses and fitting the silicone replacements between the turbocharger, intercooler and inlet. No specialist equipment is normally needed, though fresh clips help.
