Rear Silencer - Stainless Steel - the rearmost section of the exhaust system on Td5 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo diesel applications.

It receives exhaust gas from the intermediate pipe and provides the final stage of noise attenuation before the tailpipe outlet.

The body and pipework are stainless steel, which resists the internal condensate corrosion that shortens the service life of mild-steel silencers, particularly where the vehicle is used for short journeys and the system never fully dries out.
