The filter housing sits low on the chassis where it is directly exposed to stone strike, road salt and water thrown up by the wheels. This pressed steel shield closes off the rear face of that position, protecting the filter body, its mounting bracket and the fuel connections behind it.

Supplied as the rear section only. A corroded or missing shield leaves the filter housing and its unions exposed, and is a common cause of damaged or leaking connections in that area.
