Belt-driven from the crankshaft accessory drive, the alternator supplies the vehicle's running electrical load and maintains battery state of charge, with the voltage regulator integrated into the unit.

Note: this alternator carries the larger pulley of approximately 60 mm diameter and requires the 1595 mm drive belt ERR3287. Check the pulley diameter and belt length against the unit being replaced before fitting.
