Tailgate Gas Strut - Upper for the rear split tailgate, supporting the upper lift-up section of the door.
The gas-charged strut counterbalances the weight of the upper tailgate, holding it open and controlling the speed at which it raises and lowers. As the gas charge depletes with age the door will no longer stay up; struts are best renewed as a pair so both sides support the door evenly.
