Rear Crankshaft Oil Seal - the main oil seal at the flywheel end of the crankshaft, part of the cylinder block and crankshaft assembly.
It seals the crankshaft where it passes out of the rear of the cylinder block, retaining engine oil at the joint between the block, the rear seal housing and the flywheel or drive plate. Fitted to the 2.2L TD4 (CR DI 16V / DOHC EFI TC DW12) diesel engine. Access requires removal of the transmission and flywheel or drive plate, so it is normally renewed during clutch or transmission work.
