Diff Lock Lever Arm for the LT230 transfer box differential lock linkage assembly.

This lever forms part of the mechanical actuation system that engages and disengages the centre differential lock. It installs on the transfer box selector pivot assembly and interfaces with the differential lock linkage rod, converting driver input from the vehicle's selector mechanism into rotational movement of the differential lock selector shaft. The lever is part of the external diff lock rod assembly and does not include the pivot.

Frequently asked questions

What does the diff lock lever arm do?
The diff lock lever arm is part of the transfer box centre differential lock linkage. It converts driver input from the selector mechanism into rotational movement of the diff lock selector shaft, engaging and disengaging the centre diff lock. It forms part of the external diff lock rod assembly.
Which vehicles does this diff lock lever arm fit?
This diff lock lever arm fits the Land Rover Defender (1987-2006) and Discovery 1 from VIN FA393361, on the transfer box differential lock linkage. Confirm your transfer box and linkage type before ordering, as diff lock components changed across the range.
What are the signs of a worn diff lock linkage?
A worn or seized diff lock linkage typically shows as a centre diff lock that won't engage or release cleanly, or a difference warning light that stays on. Worn lever pivots and rods add slack to the selector. It's usually addressed when servicing the transfer box linkage.
Does this lever arm include the pivot?
No, this lever arm is supplied without the pivot. It's part of the external diff lock rod assembly only, so if your pivot is worn you'll need to order that separately. Check the condition of the surrounding linkage before fitting the new lever.
