MHK100820L - MAP Sensor
The MAP sensor measures the absolute pressure inside the intake manifold and sends a corresponding signal to the engine ECU. The ECU uses this reading to gauge engine load - and, on turbocharged applications, boost pressure - and adjusts fuelling and timing accordingly. An inaccurate or failed sensor can cause poor running, incorrect fuelling and loss of power. Used on both Td5 diesel and K-Series/KV6 petrol engine management.
