Even though Range Rovers are built for all types of terrain, every generation comes with its own set of known issues. After years of tracking part demand and customer feedback, a few key patterns have emerged.
Each Range Rover model has its strengths and weaknesses. Here’s a quick overview of what to expect.
A legend in its own right, but now a classic. Look out for wiring issues and body corrosion. We supply rare seals, panels and alternators to help you keep it original.
The EAS air suspension is a known weak point here, along with the 4.0 and 4.6 V8s. If you’re keeping one running, you’ll want access to valve blocks and ride height sensors.
Strong platform, but watch for transmission issues and differential noise. Common fixes include gearbox replacements, rear diffs and control arms.
Beautifully refined, but turbo pipes and coolant seals tend to fail. This model also sees plenty of oil-related faults.
Too new to judge fully, but early signs suggest electrical faults and infotainment bugs may crop up. As more come out of warranty, demand for modules and sensors will grow fast.
Sleek and modern, but timing chain stretch and AdBlue injector issues are real. There are also reports of infotainment system bugs. We recommend keeping spare chains, sensors and electronic parts handy.
This compact SUV is stylish, but known for its gearbox quirks and seal wear. You’ll likely need shift modules, replacement ECUs and rubber components over time.
From 2005 onwards, Sport models offer performance but struggle with air suspension and timing chain wear. Air springs and full chain kits are our best sellers here.
Want to see how design still plays a role? The Velar made headlines when it won the World Car Design of the Year. You can read more about that achievement right here.
With the L460 and Sport L461 still fresh to market, we’re keeping a close eye on how these models perform in real-world use. So far, the biggest concerns are electrical and infotainment related, just like the L405 and Velar before them. As these SUVs begin to age out of warranty, parts demand will climb quickly. That’s where Budget Parts steps in to make sure you’re ready, whether you’re stocking up or simply staying ahead.
