Startmotor voor de 2.5L 4-cilinder dieselmotor, onderdeel van het elektrische startcircuit van de motor.

Wanneer het contact wordt bediend, werpt de solenoïde het aandrijftandwiel in het vliegwielkrans en start de motor de motor, waarbij de accustroom wordt omgezet in de rotatie die nodig is om de verbranding te starten. Het tandwiel wordt ontkoppeld zodra de motor aanslaat.
