The 2.25L main bearing set is the crankshaft main bearing shells for the four-cylinder three-bearing engine. They support the crankshaft in the cylinder block and carry the loads passed from the pistons through the crank. Supplied as a complete set for the main journals.
What does the .010 undersize mean?
The .010 marking means these main bearings are machined 0.010 inch undersize, to suit a crankshaft that's been reground 0.010 inch undersize on its main journals. Fit them only if your crank has been ground to that size. A standard crank needs standard-size bearings.
Which engines use this main bearing set?
