Deze rubberen hoes past over de basis van de L-vormige handremhendel waar deze door de transmissietunnel gaat, en sluit de opening van de hendel af tegen stof en water. Het ronde gat bevestigt de hoes op de as van de L-vormige hendel.

De latere vervanging voor deze hoes is onderdeel 338780.
