De vulring wordt bij de fusee geplaatst om de voorspanning van de fuseelagers aan te passen, waardoor de juiste rotatieweerstand van het fuseehuis wordt ingesteld. Vulringen worden tijdens de montage toegevoegd of verwijderd om de voorspanning op specificatie te brengen.
