Keerring - een radiale keerring geplaatst tussen de wieldrager en de fuseenas in het wiellager- en aandrijfasgedeelte.

De keerring houdt smeermiddel vast in de wieldrager en voorkomt het binnendringen van water, vuil en wegruis op het raakvlak tussen de roterende naaf en de vaste fuseenas.

Deze bevindt zich in de naafconstructie, waar de naaf draait op lagers die op de fuseenas zijn gemonteerd, en dicht af tegen de fuseas-tapp om het lagerpakket schoon en gesmeerd te houden.

RTC3511G is the OEM-specification radial oil seal by Corteco for the wheel hub-to-stub-axle interface. It seals in hub bearing lubricant and keeps road debris out, fitting Series 2, 2A and 3 from 1981, Defender to VIN KA930455 and Range Rover Classic to 1985.

Does RTC3511G correctly replace FRC8221?

Yes. RTC3511G correctly replaces FRC8221. There is an incorrect Land Rover supersession in the system that lists FRC8221G as the replacement, but that cross-reference is wrong. The confirmed correct replacement for FRC8221 is RTC3511 or RTC3511G.
