O-ring - een statische afdichting voor de naafconstructie van de buitenste aandrijfas. Het dicht de verbinding tussen de flens van de aandrijfas en de buitenste naaf af, voorkomt verlies van smeermiddel en houdt water en vuil van de weg uit de naaf.

De O-ring bevindt zich in een machinaal bewerkte groef aan de interface van de buitenste naaf en wordt bij montage samengeperst om een positieve afdichting rond het aandrijfelement te vormen.
