De rubberen afdichting loopt rond de omtrek van de achterdeuropening en wordt samengedrukt wanneer de deur sluit om te voorkomen dat water, stof en windgeruis het voertuig binnendringen. Vervang de afdichting wanneer deze is uitgehard, gebarsten of niet langer consistent contact maakt rond de opening.
