Frequently asked questions

What is the NRC4844 radiator hose used for?
The NRC4844 is the bottom radiator hose that carries coolant from the radiator back to the engine on the Land Rover Defender. It completes the lower run of the cooling circuit, feeding cooled coolant to the water pump inlet.
Which Defenders does this bottom radiator hose fit?
This bottom radiator hose fits the Land Rover Defender up to 2016 with the 2.5 petrol or 2.5 diesel engine, up to VIN AA261252. Later Tdi engines use a different hose, so confirm your engine and VIN before ordering.
Why does a radiator hose need replacing?
Radiator hoses fail as the rubber ages, typically going soft, swollen, or cracked, often at the clamp ends. A perished bottom hose can leak coolant and cause overheating, so it's usually replaced once it shows splits or weeping.
