Gemonteerd aan de achterkant van de carrosserie, ontvangt de bout het uiteinde van de achterklepaanslagkabel, die de val van de achterklep bij het openen beperkt en deze in horizontale positie ondersteunt. Het zorgt voor de vaste carrosserie-bevestiging die de kabel onder belasting houdt.
