Brandstofafsluitmagneet (solenoïde) voor de 200 Tdi en 300 Tdi 2.5L turbo dieselmotor, gemonteerd op de brandstofinjectiepomp.

Blijft open zolang deze onder spanning staat via het contactslot om brandstof naar de pomp te laten stromen; wanneer het contact wordt uitgeschakeld, wordt de solenoïde spanningsloos en sluit deze, waardoor de brandstoftoevoer wordt afgesloten om de motor te stoppen. Een defecte solenoïde is een veelvoorkomende oorzaak van het niet starten of het niet uitschakelen.

The RTC6702 fuel stop solenoid sits on the injection pump of the 2.5L 200Tdi and 300Tdi diesel engine. It stays open while the ignition is on to let fuel through; switch off and it closes, cutting the fuel to stop the engine. Fitted to Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic.

What happens when the stop solenoid fails?
