Wielremcilinder voor de trommelremconstructie - de rechter hydraulische hulp-cilinder die de remschoenen bedient. Dezelfde cilinder is geschikt voor zowel de voor- als achterpositie.

Gevoed door de remleiding vanaf de hoofdremcilinder, bewegen de zuigers van de cilinder naar buiten onder hydraulische druk om de remschoenen tegen de trommel te drukken, en trekken ze zich vervolgens terug wanneer de druk wegvalt. Een lekkende of vastzittende cilinder veroorzaakt een zacht pedaal, vloeistofverlies of een slepende rem, en wordt als complete eenheid vervangen.
