ABS-wielsnelheidssensor - voor voor het 4-wiel ABS-remsysteem.

Gemonteerd aan de vooras, leest de sensor een getande reluctorschijf en genereert een variabel elektrisch signaal evenredig met de wielsnelheid. De ABS-regeleenheid gebruikt dit signaal om een naderende blokkering van het wiel tijdens zwaar remmen te detecteren en de remdruk bij de relevante voorremklauw te moduleren, waardoor de stuurcontrole behouden blijft.
