12N 7-polige aanhangerdoos voor het elektrische systeem van de trekhaak, gemonteerd aan de achterzijde van het voertuig.

De 12N-doos draagt de standaard aanhangerwegverlichting volgens de ISO 1724 zevenpolige indeling - zij- en markeringslichten, richtingaanwijzers, stoplichten, mistachterlicht en aarde. Het verbindt de achterlichtkabelboom van het voertuig met de aanhangerstekker, en voorziet de verlichting van de aanhanger tijdens het slepen van stroom.
