Cylinder Head Bolt for the cylinder head assembly on TDV6 and TDV8 diesel engines. The bolt secures the cylinder head to the engine block, clamping the head gasket to seal combustion pressures and the coolant and oil passages across the head-to-block joint.
Cylinder head bolts on these engines are torque-to-yield (TTY) fasteners and must be replaced whenever the cylinder head is removed - they cannot be reused after torquing to specification. Supplied as a single bolt; the quantity required per engine varies by cylinder configuration.
