Fuel Tank Mounting is the moulded rubber isolator in the fuel tank mounting assembly that sits between the tank body and its chassis support.

It cushions the tank against the chassis-mounted retaining straps and brackets, absorbing road vibration and preventing metal-to-metal chafe between the tank and the frame. The rubber also takes up minor dimensional tolerance so the tank seats squarely and the retaining straps clamp without distorting the tank shell.
