Dowel is a precision locating pin used to align mating components in the drivetrain, such as the bell housing, gearbox casing and flywheel or drive plate assemblies.
It sets the exact relative position of two housings as they are brought together, holding concentric alignment while the fixing bolts are fitted and torqued.
