Battery Cover is the top fixing frame of the battery securing assembly. It clamps down over the top of the battery and bolts to the battery tray, holding the battery firmly in place to stop it shifting in service and to keep the terminals from working loose.

Used on petrol applications; diesel installations carry a larger battery and require a different frame. The frame is the hold-down clamp only and is fitted in conjunction with the battery tray and its J-bolts and nuts.

A secure battery fixing is a roadworthiness requirement, so a sound, correctly fitting frame is essential when the original has corroded or been lost.
