Tub Floor Reinforcement Crossmember is a structural member in the rear body, supporting the load floor of the rear tub.

It runs across the underside of the tub floor and ties into the rear body mountings, stiffening the floor section and carrying load down into the chassis. As a structural panel it is normally renewed during rear body or floor repair where corrosion has weakened the original.

Check the condition of the surrounding floor and mounting points before fitting, and treat the new panel against corrosion on installation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the tub floor reinforcement crossmember for?
The tub floor reinforcement crossmember is a structural member under the rear tub floor on the Defender (2007-2016). It runs across the underside of the floor, ties into the rear body mountings and carries load down into the chassis, stiffening the floor section. It's a common corrosion repair on these vehicles.
When should this crossmember be replaced?
This crossmember is normally replaced during rear body or floor repair when corrosion has weakened the original panel. Check the surrounding floor and the rear body mounting points before fitting, since rust often spreads beyond the visible area. Treat the new panel against corrosion on installation to extend its life.
Does this fit all Defender wheelbases?
This crossmember fits Defender 2007-2016 across the 90, 110 and 130 wheelbases, including Hard Top, Pick Up, Crew Cab, Soft Top and Station Wagon bodies. Body repair sections can differ by build, so compare the panel shape and mounting points to your original before fitting to confirm the match.
