4063 - Split Pin
The split pin is inserted through the hole in a castle nut or clevis pin after tightening, and the legs are spread apart to prevent the nut from backing off. It is a safety-critical fastener used in suspension joints and steering linkage connections where inadvertent loosening must be prevented.
