Striker Plate - Rear Side Door Check Strap located within the rear side door check strap assembly on the Defender.
The striker plate provides the fixed contact surface for the door check mechanism, controlling the opening travel of the rear side door and stabilising the door in intermediate positions during operation. It mates with the check strap link to hold the door open at defined positions.
