Radius Arm Bush - Front for the front suspension radius arm assembly.

This rubber bush is pressed into the forward end of the front radius arm and provides the pivoting, compliant interface between the arm and its chassis mounting bracket. It controls fore-and-aft axle location while isolating road vibration and shock loads from the chassis, maintaining correct suspension geometry throughout the suspension travel range.

Frequently asked questions

What does the front radius arm bush do?
The front radius arm bush is pressed into the forward end of the front radius arm and forms the pivoting interface between the arm and its chassis bracket. It controls fore-and-aft location of the front axle while isolating road shock from the chassis, keeping the suspension geometry correct through the travel range.
How many radius arm bushes are needed for the job?
Typically one front bush is fitted per radius arm, so doing both sides of the axle usually needs two. This part is the front bush only; the rear chassis-mount bush is usually a separate item. Check how many your repair covers before ordering.
Why does a front radius arm bush fail on a Defender?
A front radius arm bush typically fails when the rubber perishes or cracks, letting the axle move fore and aft. Common symptoms are a clunk under braking, axle tramp, and vague steering. Worn radius arm bushes upset caster geometry on the Defender, which dulls the steering feel.
Does this fit my Defender, and what is the VIN split?
This genuine Land Rover bush fits the Defender 1987-2006 from VIN VA130785 and the Puma Defender 2007-2016 from VIN 7A000001. Both VIN floors matter, so confirm your chassis number falls in range. Use your VIN to verify the variant before ordering.
