EGR Pipe Hose for the 2.5L 300TDi 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine.

This rubber hose forms part of the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) circuit, connecting the EGR valve to the associated pipe or intercooler connection point. The EGR system routes a metered quantity of exhaust gas back into the intake to reduce combustion temperatures and emissions. Cracks, splits, or deterioration in this hose will cause air leaks and disrupted EGR flow.

Frequently asked questions

What does the EGR Pipe Hose (ERR3581) do?
The EGR Pipe Hose (ERR3581) connects the exhaust gas recirculation circuit on the 2.5L 200TDi and 300TDi turbo diesel engine. It carries metered exhaust gas toward the intake to lower combustion temperatures and emissions. Fitted to the Land Rover Defender up to 2016, Discovery 1, and Range Rover Classic.
Where does this EGR hose fit?
This rubber hose forms part of the EGR pipe run toward the intercooler connection on the 200TDi and 300TDi engine. It links the EGR pipework in the emissions circuit on the Land Rover Defender up to 2016 and Discovery 1. Route it clear of hot surfaces when fitting.
What are the signs this EGR hose needs replacing?
A failing EGR hose typically cracks, splits, or hardens, causing air leaks and disrupted EGR flow on the 200TDi or 300TDi. You may notice rough running or a boost leak. Replace ERR3581 if the rubber is perished on the Land Rover Defender up to 2016 or Discovery 1.
